If you're feeling more more energetic and adventurous there's much to do and
see:
- medieval châteaux and bastide towns, and
prehistoric caves
- boating, canoeing and fishing on the local lakes and
rivers (Dordogne
25mins).
- walks, cycling or horseriding through the beautiful
Lot and Dordogne countryside and ancient
villages.
- golf (Castelnaud - 25mins).
- markets - the Périgord is famous for tiptop
cuisine and wines.
Even
the Parisians say so.
- July and August is the season of fêtes and
bodegas in the local
bastide
towns.
