Lingua
(UK) - formerly Multilingua, Bristol
The company was set up in the English city of Bristol in the 1980s - originally under the name Multilingua - and provided a unique service
dedicated to training professional staff in languages. The merger with Lingua added considerable expertise in the field of professional translations and in addition technical skills to support digital innovation and film-making.

Lingua’s MD, George Sharpley, has seen the company grow from its Bristol origins to become a leading UK language service. “I was a Classics graduate, with an interest
in other languages too. Latin gave me access to French, Spanish,
Italian and Portuguese.”
In 2003 George set up Lingua’s film-making unit which now offers learning supports for different languages and for intercultural development.
